The Academy is a long running epic modern-fantasy series created by John F. F. Jonbourough, acclaimed fantasy novelist from the 1960's until his death in 2004. The Acadamy initially ran from 1961 to 1983, encompassing many different showrunners, writers, directors, producers, and actors, and has remained an undying inspiration to the world. In 2011, the private cable network NBD revived the series under the faithful direction of the original series' last showrunner's son, Ethan McGram. Ethan McGram ran the series for one full season until the show was placed back into the hands of his father Bruce McGram, showrunner of the 1983 season, who has vowed to give the series a "much needed reboot of sorts so that The Academy may return to its former glory." The show is currently in its 24th season.
